The MEP7000 system monitors the pressure of the gas pipeline upstream and downstream of the valve and can shut off the valve if the pressure should drop, or be too high or low.

The equipment enables users to set up pressure levels, hysteresis and the minimum time required under the same condition before shutting off the valve.

Redundant transmitters enable fault detection when the valve is open, verifying the discrepancy between them.

Additionally, it has several auxiliary inputs and outputs, useful for monitoring other events (door opening, manual / automatic mode, high or low pilots, etc.)

An RS485 interface enables the connection to a SCADA system using the MODBUS protocol.

A cellular modem enables users to send SMS messages indicating the events occurred, as well as consulting operating conditions. Despite not being used by the current software version, it has the capacity to send data over the GPRS network.

Samples, events and changes occurring in the equipment are recorded in a non-volatile memory for later analysis. Through a Bluetooth radio interface they can be downloaded and the equipment can be configured.

Its low consumption enables the performance with small solar panels and / or batteries.

Both the cabinet and the pressure transmitters used are explosion-proof type; making them suitable for risk areas.
